By now, you’ve likely heard that Microsoft is implementing some significant changes to their Pricing Model, referred to as the “New Commerce Experience” (NCE). These changes will affect all customers purchasing Office 365 subscriptions. As part of these changes, Microsoft is raising the prices on six of its popular subscriptions and requiring an annual commitment for licensing.
For customers who want to retain the flexibility to add/remove 365 licenses at will, Microsoft will charge an additional 20% premium on those subscriptions. We detailed many of the key changes associated with the New Commerce Experience in our November Abel Insight: Demystifying the 2022 Microsoft New Commerce Experience.
The Abel Solutions team has worked diligently with our partners to plan for these changes over the past several months. We are working to create tailored recommendations for each of our customers to provide them with their individual “best approach” for moving forward with these changes.
Our President, David Hammond, was recently interviewed about NCE and our approach to ensuring that our customers are prepared to move forward seamlessly. You can read more about how we, and our partners, are ready to help you navigate this change here: Microsoft’s New Commerce Experience in Effect: ‘It’s All Manageable’ (channelfutures.com).
There are several options to consider to mitigate the impact of NCE on your business, but these are time-sensitive. We’d love to schedule a call with you to begin the process of discussing what would work best for your company.
