Manager, Network Engineering

Abel Solutions is a rapidly growing IT Consulting and Managed Services provider for more than 100 companies and counting. Our growing IT System Operations team (“SysOps”) is looking for an Engineering Manager who will report to the Director of IT Services.

The SysOps team is a central pillar of our growth strategy, and the Engineering Manager will be responsible for overall management of the SysOps Team along with managing, configuring, and troubleshooting network systems remotely and on-site for diverse environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in network design, configuration management, and the ability to resolve complex issues. Candidate must also have expertise in leading a team of engineers and leveraging their team to produce superior results. The Engineering Manager at Abel Solutions plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our IT Services. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities, optimizing processes, and driving operational excellence. Ideal Candidate for this role should be a proactive leader with a passion for technology and process improvement.

The Engineering Manager will be working with advanced networking technologies from vendors like Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Ubiquiti, and SonicWall, ensuring seamless and secure network operations across multiple locations.

The Engineering Manager must have a record of self-study and be motivated to articulate findings based on industry best practices. Helpdesk Associate

The Helpdesk Associate is responsible for providing fast and efficient Helpdesk support for end-user technical issues regarding PCs, mobile devices, and network infrastructure. In this position, Helpdesk associates leverage their training and experience to resolve issues assigned to them. Helpdesk Associates also identify and escalate issues related to the IT infrastructure that we support and assist the HelpDesk Manager with reporting on Service Desk Operations.

Using a combination of Abel Solutions’ knowledgebase, internet searches, and experience gained through several years of troubleshooting IT issues, HelpDesk Associates work to resolve each support request escalated to them. At times, the Associate will work with senior staff on IT Services projects, including hardware and software deployments. This position requires self-motivation, analytical thinking, application of problem-solving techniques, and the ability to work independently and within a team.
